The Calm of the Center

We are increasingly pulled out of our context of peace, acceptance and inclusion.
Whether it's the climate crisis, disagreements with peers, the false need for constant exposure, ideological extremes, or the demanding hours of our schedules... It almost seems as if we've unconsciously become addicted to the constant survival reflex that the sympathetic nervous system instigates in us.
Therefore, it's crucial to practice relaxation and self-care, to find ourselves in a place where we simply are, without being reactive or anxious about the next step. As if we were among friends, knowing that everything can only work out for the best.
Plants and infusions are the queens of the present. The time to boil water, choose a mug, look at jars of dried herbs, or go harvest plants for a specific purpose. The entire ritual connects us to the present, and what motivates us? Self-care, immersive nourishment through heat, steam, aromas, and flavor, all in 10 minutes a day.
Here is a Nutrition tip for the Nervous System:
Before going to bed, let the oat stalks boil for 5 minutes and cover the pot until morning. When we wake up, we reheat the infusion and, after turning off the heat, add meadow clover flowers, rosehip or raspberry leaves, and nettles, as well as lavender or lemon balm to taste.
This infusion will fully nourish our neural centers and bring a feeling of well-being and fulfillment that will not leave room for the tremors of anxiety.
