HERBALISM COURSE - CHINARTE

On August 29th we guided a group of students
from Chinarte through the world of Portuguese spontaneous flora.
During the morning we will travel through marshes, forests and paths where
we can identify different types of ecosystems
and plant communities.
We reserve a space to develop rapprochement rituals
with flora through the integration of flavors and concepts
intrinsic to the five elements, so widely addressed by Traditional Chinese Medicine.

During the afternoon we continued with the preparation of herbal extracts
such as infusions, tinctures and medicated oils.

AUGUST 31 - ETHNOBOTANY WALK IN ARGA DE BAIXO

During Sunday afternoon the heat was intense at the top of Serra da Arga.
We formed a lively group at Horácio's Taberna,
we left later because the heat had subsided and in the shade of a willow
the names began to take on chlorophyll contours.
Once again, the sharing of information took place in a very fluid manner, with attendees who stood out for their simplicity and abundance of knowledge.

We had the opportunity to observe a torrid August with vegetation
thin and specific species of the dry season but we were also able
see how the influx of water and shadow completely modify
ecosystems and flora behavior.
