Service Description

Learn the secrets of wild plants used in food and medicine alongside an experienced herbalist. Participants are welcomed at Paço de Lanheses with a historical overview of the house, its gardens and the region. We then begin our walk through the different gardens, orchards and woods, where we collect and discuss the many species we find. At the end, we review the species and record them in a herbarium format while enjoying a refreshment prepared with some of the plants we have seen. There is the option of ending the walk with a light meal where participants can enjoy a farm-to-table meal featuring seasonal wild plants. For small groups, it is possible to organise the preparation of the meal together. These options are subject to an additional charge. *The trails are low difficulty. **Participants should bring clothing and footwear suitable for the weather conditions on the day. *** Cancellations can be made up to 24 hours before the activity.
